Potato toast

Recipe from Sweden for a tasty side dish of potatoes.

Ingredients:

600 g potatoes 120 g smooth flour 3 dl milk 1 pc egg pinch of sugar ground pepper salt fat for browning

Procedure:

1. Whisk eggs and plain flour in part of the milk
2. Add the remaining milk and let stand for a while
3. Stir in the cooked, peeled, finely grated potatoes, salt, ground pepper and sugar
4. Using a ladle, place the batter on a frying pan with hot fat and fry on both sides until golden brown
5. Serve with roast pork, or in larger batches as a meatless dish with cranberry jam.
