Potato strapačky with sauerkraut
Last Updated on
Strappers are actually gnocchi served with sautéed cabbage.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Clean the potatoes, grate, add the egg, a pinch of soda, then incorporate the flour, adding the coarse flour until the mixture is stiff
2. Push the resulting dough with a coarse grater into boiling salted water, stir and cook for about 8-
10 minutes (you can also cut the dough with a small spoon)
2. In the meantime, fry the onion in the oil in a saucepan until brown, add the washed and chopped sauerkraut to taste and fry everything together and heat through
3. Add the gnocchi to the cabbage, mix and garnish the plate with the bacon that we fried in another pan and chives, if you like, you can also pour the melted fat from the pan.
Recommendation:
Beware, if you rinse the cabbage too much, the dish will be tasteless.
