Potato Cones with Strawberries
Potato cones boiled in salted water and then lightly fried in lard, served with strawberries, generously sugared and topped with melted butter.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Boil the potatoes in their skins, peel and grate them after cooling
2. Sprinkle the grated potatoes with flour and semolina, add salt and eggs
3. With your hands, make a long roll of dough, cut off the pieces, round them in your hands to form finger-sized doughnuts
4. In a pot, boil water with salt, throw in the doughnuts and cook them, stirring occasionally from the bottom, for about 8 minutes
5. Finally, heat the lard in a frying pan and lightly fry the cooked, drained doughnuts on all sides
6. Mix the still warm doughnuts with fresh strawberries cut into halves or quarters, sprinkle them generously with icing sugar and pour melted butter over them, serve immediately.
Recommendation:
The doughnuts prepared in this way can be sprinkled with crumble, then they will gain an additional culinary dimension.
