progress
I assembled this bread myself since the previous ones almost all went in the trash. The advantage of the recipe is that even if it doesn’t shape or spits it is still delicious.
1. I cut one large potato into cubes and boiled it. I dumped the flour into a large bowl added sugar, salt and stirred. 2. I made a well in the middle and added yeast (can be dried) and poured warm milk over it. Let it stand for a while. 3. I mashed the potatoes with a little milk. To the flour I added the other ingredients, namely oil, vinegar and caraway seeds. I poured 2dl of warm water over it and added 3PL of mash. 4. I prepared another 2dl of warm water and kept adding more as the kneading progressed. Knead for at least 15mins. When you lift your hand the dough should peel off a bit not fall it must be sticky. 5. Let rise for an hour and cover with a tea towel. 6. I line the baking tray with paper and literally pour the dough in so that we have nice bubbles in the bread. If you have a janske glass at home, bake in it. 7. I put a decilitre of water and a pinch of salt (no more-it will be salty) in a glass and brush gently with a pastry brush. If the dough has fallen off a lot, put it in a warm place for a while before brushing. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees and put the bread in it,turn the temperature down to 200. Bake for about 50 minutes depending on how crispy you want the crust. I attach a photo of the baking 45minutes 8. Remove from the oven and brush again with the water we rubbed before baking. If you baked on a baking sheet/paper, remove the bread with a kitchen glove and place on a wire rack to cool. If you are baking in a glass pan, I confess I have no experience, but it is important to take it out when baking on a baking tray!
