Polpette with mozzarella

Italian recipe for fried cheese balls suitable for example as an appetizer with good wine or beer. Best served hot!

Ingredients:

150 g bread crumbs crumbled into smaller pieces 150 g diced mozzarella 100 g shredded Gran Moravia cheese 3 pcs eggs five nutmegs pinch of salt flour for coating

Procedure:

  • Place 150g bread crumbs crumbled into smaller pieces, 150g mozzarella cubes, 3 eggs, a pinch of salt, 100g grated Gran Moravia cheese and a pinch of nutmeg in a food processor.
  • Mix until the dough is smooth.
  • Make it into balls the size of a walnut, roll them in flour
  • Fry the balls in enough hot oil until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel and serve hot.
