Plain Gnocchi

Simple and cheap, recipe of our correspondent Mrs. Maruška.

Ingredients:

500 g of coarse flour 1 tsp salt 1 pk baking powder water

Procedure:

1. Mix flour, salt and baking powder dry, add water as needed to make the dough thinner than for dumplings and press through a colander into boiling water 2. When the gnocchi float out they are cooked and can be removed with a perforated ladle
3. Cook a batch about three times according to the size of the pot of water.

Recommendation:

They can be served with spinach or any sauce instead of dumplings or pasta. They can also be prepared with eggs by frying a few eggs in advance and putting the cooked gnocchi directly into them, stirring everything together and serving with pickles or vegetable salad.

Note:

In a more expensive form, 1 egg can be added to the batter and the batter can be whisked with milk.
