Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1/4 cup water
Instructions:
Preheat your pizzelle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and egg. Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until everything is well combined.
Add the water and mix until the batter is smooth. It should be fairly thick but still pourable.
Grease your pizzelle iron with some butter or cooking spray. Using a spoon or ladle, drop batter by the Tablespoon onto the pizzelle iron. Close the lid and cook for 30-60 seconds, until the pizzelles are golden brown. Remove from the iron and place on a wire rack to cool.
