Peppers stuffed with minced meat, tomato sauce

Filled peppers with minced meat, served with classic tomato sauce and preferably homemade bread dumplings or rice.

Ingredients:

250 g of minced meat 8 pcs capricots 2 pcs pineapple 1 pk egg black ground pepper salt For the sauce: 100 g of tomato puree 50 g of lard ./td> 40 g smooth flour 1 pk onion

Procedure:

1. Combine the minced meat with the pre-soaked buns, add the eggs and spices
2. Place (press) the mixture into each of the pitted pepper pods
3. Arrange the peppers in a saucepan, pour the prepared tomato sauce over them and simmer until tender.

Preparation of tomato sauce:
1. Prepare the tomato sauce by frying the onions, adding tomato paste (or fresh tomatoes in summer) and bay leaves
2. Boil the sauce, thicken with light roux, sweeten and acidify to taste

Recommendation:

The most suitable side dish is bread dumplings, or rice or gnocchi. For the preparation of bread dumplings see recipes.
