Panna cotta
Last Updated on
A delicious dessert from Italy. Panna cota translates as “cooked cream”.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Boil the sugar, a piece of cinnamon and the hollowed out vanilla pod and the marrow for 15 minutes with the cream
2. Remove the pod and cinnamon bark from the simmering cream, add the gelatine slices and stir to dissolve the gelatine
3. Prepare the panna cotta moulds (instead of the original moulds you can use, for example, yoghurt wrappers), rinse them with cold water and immediately fill them with warm cream
4. Reserve a few small berries for garnish, mix the rest with vanilla sugar and fruit juice, preferably using a hand blender
6. Divide the fruit puree between four dessert plates, always place a portion of creamy panana cotta on top of the blended fruit, which we tipped by placing the moulds in hot water for a while
7. Garnish each portion with pieces of the set aside fruit, chocolate icing that we prepared by melting chocolate in a hot bath or using a microwave, and chopped nuts or pistachios.
Recommendation:
Panna cotta can also be decorated with mint leaves, fruit toppings, fruit sauces …
Note:
Some recipes advise greasing the panna cotta moulds with oil.
