Classic “Street food”, which originated in Sicily. My Italian colleague taught it to me.
1. Mix flour, water, salt, spices together. I use an immersion blender, it’s fast and I don’t have any lumps in the mixture. 2. Cook the mixture on a low heat stirring constantly to a thick paste. Pour the cooked mixture on a baking sheet and spread it thinly about 5mm. The mixture solidifies quickly. No need to use any oil, it will peel off from the tin, plate etc. The original is painted on the bottom of the plate, but it is laborious. 3. Once cooled, cut into any size and fry until golden. Add salt and a sprinkle of lemon. Put in the potato, add Vegetable Recipes and serve. At home, they taste good on their own without the potato 😉 Good taste
