Poppy seed sauce with honey

Milled poppy seeds cooked in milk, flavoured with cinnamon, honey and cloves, the sauce finally thickened with gingerbread. This sauce was poured over the dumplings.

Procedure:
1. Pour milk over the ground poppy seeds and boil
2. Season with ground cinnamon and ground cloves, sweeten with honey and thicken with grated gingerbread
3. Finally, just a pinch of salt, pour the finished warm sauce over the yeast dumplings.
Recommendation:
Our grandmothers also sometimes crumbled Christmas in this sauce.
