Old-fashioned Hatchet

Staro Czech Christmas candy suitable for every holiday table.

Ingredients:

70 g of powdered sugar 70 g of almonds 1 tbsp of rosehip or currant preserves several drops of lemon juice additional powdered sugar for rolling cinnamon citron or rum glaze

Procedure:

1. Place sugar, peeled and grated almonds, a little cinnamon, preserves and enough lemon juice as needed to make a stiffer dough
2. Sprinkle the dough with icing sugar and roll out a doughnut about 2.5 cm in diameter
3. Using a sharp knife, cut thin, slanted slices, place on a cutting board and leave to dry for about 2 hours (dip the knife in icing sugar while cutting)
