Nut crescents without flour

20 dkg walnuts 2 egg whites 20 dkg icing sugar 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 15 dkg ground almonds 5 dkg chocolate powdered sugar for sprinkling the slab

Flourless almond crescents

Heat the oven to 140°C

Grind the walnuts and beat the egg whites until thick.

Mix the icing sugar with the cinnamon and incorporate it into the egg whites, a little at a time.

In a bowl, mix the ground almonds, nuts and mix the mixture into the batter as well.

Roll the dough either on icing sugar or over 2 sheets of cling film and cut out the marigolds using moulds. Place the cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Bake for 15-20 minutes (the marigolds should still be soft underneath). Let them cool and decorate with melted chocolate.
