My kids and I love scones but they’re pretty expensive in the city. So I said I’ll try baking my own at home and trada are a contender no, they’re not original that’s for sure no, they’re homemade ours
1.
I make a classic sourdough. I put a pinch of salt in the flour, sugar, 3 egg yolks melted butter and finally the sourdough starter. I let it rise for 1 hour.

After rising, I make 4 loaves and let them rise, for another 15 minutes. In the meantime, I make the topping. Vanilla sugar, coconut and some ground sugar and other sprinkles similarly I just put cinnamon or nuts. I made these with cinnamon sugar and coconut.

After the loaves rise, I make long snakes and wrap them on an oiled rolling pin you don’t have to wrap the rolling pin with tinfoil.

I butter the roller and wrap the rolled loaf in the mixture I put it to bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes, while still hot I wrap it again in the mixture. Enjoy!
