Fried slices of potato dough mixed with onion and sauerkraut. Recipe from Podkrkonoší.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Pour water over the cabbage and bring to the boil
2. Peel, mash or grate the cooked potatoes and process on a roller with only a little flour, egg and salt
3. Roll out a thin sheet of potato dough on a rolling pin, cut it into squares and fry them on both sides, either on a coal stove or in the oven on a tray greased with lard
4. Place the roasted potato squares in a deeper bowl, fry them with the onion fried in lard and then mix everything with the separately cooked cabbage, which we have previously seasoned with salt and sugar as required.
Recommendation:
Serve with hot milk.
