Mushroom pasta sauce for pizza recipe

One of our favorite pizza recipes is this mushroom pasta sauce! It’s so easy to make and so versatile. You can use it on any type of pizza, and it’s always a hit with our family and friends.
The key to this delicious sauce is to use fresh mushrooms. We prefer using cremini mushrooms, but you can use any type of mushroom that you like. Just make sure that they’re fresh and not canned.
Another important tip is to cook the mushrooms until they’re nice and brown. This will give the sauce a lot of flavor. If you’re in a hurry, you can cook them for less time, but the flavor won’t be as good.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 pound of fresh mushrooms
1/2 cup of olive oil
1/2 cup of white wine
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
Here’s how to make it:
Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel. You don’t need to wash them, just get rid of any dirt or debris.
Slice the mushrooms into thin pieces.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and cook until they’re browned, about 10 minutes.
Add the white wine, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute.
Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Use immediately or store in a covered container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
This mushroom pasta sauce is so good on pizza! We like to use it on our favorite Margherita Pizza or our Easy Vegan Pizza. It would also be great on a White Pizza or a Mushroom Pizza. If you have any leftovers, you can use it as a dip for breadsticks or crackers.
