Mushroom Kuba III

Cooked semolina mixed with onions, mushrooms, spices and garlic, baked in the oven until brown.

Ingredients:

500 g of torn semolina (barley groats, so called. 300 g of lard 300 g of lard 50 g of dried mushrooms 5 pcs garlic cloves 2 tsp dried marjoram 1 pk onion ground pepper grease to deglaze butter to soften water salt

Procedure:

1. First boil the grits, then rinse them under running water and finally boil them in water with a piece of lard until tender, then drain, rinse with cold water and put them in a bowl
2. In the meantime, fry the peeled onion finely chopped in hot lard and the mushrooms in hot water, drain them and cut them into smaller pieces
3. Add the mushrooms and onions to the grits, salt and pepper the mixture, add the peeled, crushed garlic cloves, marjoram and mix everything together
4. Transfer to a baking dish greased with lard, put in the oven and bake at 180 °C for about 30 minutes, just before the end, when the cube starts to turn pink, cover it with slices of butter to soften it.
