Mousse – chocolate mousse

Chocolate mousse according to this French recipe is served as a dessert, for example, with whipped cream and well chilled.

Ingredients:

200 g of high-quality chocolate 50% or more 60 g of caster sugar 200 ml milk 4 pcs egg whites 2 pcs egg yolks For garnish: whipped cream, almond nuts, small fruit…

Procedure:

  • Pour milk into a suitable saucepan, heat to boiling point on a heat source, but do not boil further!
  • Place the chocolate cubes in the milk, stir occasionally, let the chocolate melt
  • .Whisk the egg yolks into the melted chocolate in the milk, then pour into a larger bowl, let rest for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • Whisk the egg whites into the snow, just before the snow sets completely, incorporate the sugar
  • In batches, carefully stir the sweet egg white snow into the chocolate
  • Divide the smooth chocolate mousse into bowls (glasses or cups), refrigerate for at least 4 hours to chill and set
