Last Updated on
This recipe for Moravian yeast cakes comes straight from the castle!
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Mix the crumbled yeast, sugar, warm milk, a little flour from the given amount, let it rise
2. After rising, add the other ingredients, make a smooth dough
3. Let rise
4. Divide the dough into individual loaves, let them rise again, then “squash” each one with a weight or the bottom of a glass wrapped in a cloth, put the curd filling into the resulting hole and sprinkle with crumbs
5. Bake the cakes on a greased baking sheet in a medium oven until golden brown.
Prepare the filling.
Recommendation:
The filling can be varied and the curd can be replaced with, for example, marmalade.
