Milwaukee Brat House recipe for cooking brats
Last Updated on
There are few things more Wisconsin than a juicy, grilled bratwurst. And there’s no better place to get your brat fix than Milwaukee’s very own Brat House.
The Brat House has been a Milwaukee institution since 2002, and it’s no wonder why. Their secret recipe ( passed down from owner to owner for generations) results in the perfect grilled brat every time.
Ready to try your hand at grillin’ up some Brat House brats? Here’s what you’ll need:
1 package of Brat House bratwurst
1 can of beer
1/2 onion, diced
To start, heat up your grill to medium-high heat. Next, add the onion to the beer can and stir it around. Then, place the bratwurst on the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally.
When the brats are cooked through, remove them from the grill and enjoy! Serve with your favorite sides and dipping sauces.
Pro tip: For extra flavor, try soaking the raw brats in beer overnight before cooking. This will help them absorb even more of that delicious flavor
