This meat bread recipe is made with cornmeal and baked in oven. It’s a great alternative to the usual sandwiches. The cornmeal gives the bread a nice flavor and texture. You can use it for any type of sandwich, or just eat it plain.
Here are the ingredients you’ll need:
1 1/2 cups cornmeal
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and butter. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring just until blended. Stir in sugar.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely
