Matjes spread

30 g butter 30 g plain flour a little milk 2 pcs matjes 2 pcs hard-boiled egg 200 g sterilized celery 200 g sterilized Vegetable Recipes to taste herbs for garnish
procedure

Make a light roux from the butter and flour, pour in the milk and bring to the boil. To the cooled béchamel add the chopped matjes, hard-boiled egg and finely chopped celery and vegetable mixture.

Do not salt the spread. Garnish with chopped herbs. Serve with bread or bread rolls.
