Marinated neck neck: my husband’s favourite recipe

We need
1 kg pork neck
Marinade
2 tbsp full fat mustard 2 tbsp oil 2,5 dl beer 5 cloves garlic 1/2 KL crushed cumin 1/2 KL ground black pepper 1 KL salt

Marinated pork neck is a classic that I always make my spouse happy with. I don’t need to invent complicated recipes, I’m always grateful with this one. It is suitable for the grill or on a baking tray.

Prepare the ingredients.

Wash and slice the pork neck.

In a bowl, mix mustard, oil and add pressed garlic. Season with salt, pepper and cumin. Finally, add the beer and mix well.

Transfer the turkey to a large bowl and pour the marinade over the turkey. Stir well.

Transfer the pieces to a resealable container, pour the remaining marinade over them and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. I prepare the meat the day before, it is even tastier then.

Transfer the cooked meat to a baking tray, pour a little water over it and cover with foil. Bake for about 45 minutes at 200 degrees. Remove the foil and bake for another 20 minutes. Adjust the baking time depending on the thickness of the sliced meat.

Serve with mashed potatoes. A classic tomato and onion salad goes well with the meat. Enjoy.
