Marinated Herring with Cream

Excellent appetizer of marinated herring.

Ingredients:

4 pcs herring roe 1/8 l white wine 2 tbsp sour cream 2 tablespoons vinegar 1 tsp French mustard 1 pc garlic cloves 1 pc onions 2 pcs Yolks (from two hard-boiled eggs) herbs: (parsley, chives, dill, basil, etc.) a little ground sweet paprika all pepper salt

Procedure:

1. Soak herring in milk for about an hour
2. Put the fish in a pot with the wine and vinegar, adding a little water if necessary
3. Add the sliced onion, garlic, herbs and a few peppercorns
4. Bring to the boil and let the fish soften completely, which only takes a few minutes
5. Remove from the broth, let cool and pour in the sauce prepared from a few tablespoons of broth, sour cream, egg yolks, mustard, paprika, salt, mix everything properly.
