Loose Potato Bread

Roasted potato pancakes seasoned with crackling, meat or bacon, baked in the oven until red.

Ingredients:

500 g raw, grated potatoes 500 g boiled potatoes 150-200 g crackling, bacon or fatty cooked smoked meat 100 g of plain flour 50 g breadcrumbs 2 pcs eggs 1/8 l milk garlic to taste majorana

Procedure:

1. Crumble yeast into lukewarm milk, drain the water from the grated potatoes, add mashed or grated boiled potatoes, grated garlic, marjoram, pepper, salt and egg
2. Work the risen yeast into the dough, add chopped cracklings, or smoked meat or bacon (you can also just brush the dough generously with lard) Pour the dough into a greased baking dish and let it rise for about 1 hour
3. Spread the risen dough with fat on the surface and put the baking dish in a preheated oven at 190-200 °C, bake until red
