Quick, cheap and very tasty!
1.
Take the lentils and rinse them. Pour cold water about 2 inches over the lentils and leave to soak for 2 hours or even all night. In that time it will soften and increase in volume, so cooking will be quicker too. Cook the lentils in the same water with the bay leaf, bring to the boil and simmer over a low heat until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Salt the lentils after cooking, otherwise they will not soften.
2.
In a bowl, mix the sour cream with 1 tbsp of flour so that no lumps remain.
3.
Slowly add this mixture to the cooked lentils, stirring constantly, and let it boil briefly until the sauce thickens.
4.
Finally season the lentils with salt, lemon juice
5.
and crushed garlic cloves.
6.
Serve the salad with ox eye or toasted sausage and bread.
