Leek sauce for pork or sausage
Last Updated on
ingredients
1 pk leek oil 2 dl cider 1 cube natural broth 1 tsp plain flour salt black pepper basil
step
Sometimes we feel like adding some sauce to the main course. In our house, leek is a very popular one, which is perfectly complemented by a glass of cider. It complements pork dishes best.
1.
Clean and wash the leeks. Then slice it into medium-thick slices so that they don’t fall apart completely during cooking.
2.
Now, strain it into the pan. Add olive oil, salt, black pepper and cover everything with lukewarm water so that the leeks float in it. Cover the pan with a lid and cook completely until tender.
3.
When the leeks are almost done, mash a bouillon cube into them. Add the torn basil and a teaspoon of flour. Mix everything well.
4.
Add the cider and an equal amount of hot water to the sauce. Stir it and cook until it is completely reduced.
5.
We like our sauce with a whole leek. But if you want to achieve a milder taste, you can blend it.
