Lebanese Bread
Last Updated on
These bread cakes are used in Lebanon for the famous “Doner kebab”, but you can wrap almost anything in them.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Mix together the flour, sugar, salt and yeast
2. Add water, work into a stiffer dough, use a food processor if you have one, but you can also do it by hand
3. Leave to rise in a warm place, when the dough has doubled in volume, divide it into 6 or 8 equal parts
4. On a floured rolling pin, roll out pancakes about 0,5 cm thick, leave them to rise for another 15 to 30 minutes, 5. Bake the prepared pancakes covered with milk in a preheated oven at 250 °C for about 8 minutes, then turn them over so that the other side browns a little.
Recommendation:
After the bread has cooled, store in a plastic bag to keep it soft.
