Korean sesame steak (Bulgogi)
This is the traditional way to prepare Korean-style grilled steaks. The meat is marinated, grilled, cut into strips and served with a salad leaf sauce. This dish makes a delicious meal or appetizer for any occasion.
What you’ll need
2 lbs/900 g beef tenderloin tips or sirloin steaks 2 cups bulgur marinade 1/2 cup bulgogi dressing
How to make
Cut beef tenderloin slices into 1/4 inch slices. Place in a glass or plastic dish or rewash in a plastic bag. Add the bulgogi marinade and toss to coat evenly. Refrigerate 2-4 hours. Preheat grill. You can cut the meat lengthwise with a meat sampler or use a grill basket to fire small pieces. Either way, grill the meat until it is brown all over.
Because Bulgogi marinade contains sugar, monitor frequently to avoid burning and scorching. Serve warm on a baking tray. Top the lamb chunks with Romaine lettuce leaves and dip in the dressing. You can also add chopped carrots, caramelized garlic cloves or anything else.
