Kettle stew

ingredients

3 pcs onion 3 tbsp lard 400 g beef 1 tsp ground sweet paprika to taste salt 1/2 tsp cumin 300 g potatoes 2 pcs bell pepper 2 pcs tomato 2 tbsp plain flour 1/2 tbsp marjoram 3 cloves garlic

procedure

Fry the finely chopped onion in lard. Add the cubed meat and fry, stirring constantly, until the meat is dark and the juices have evaporated completely.

Remove the meat from the stove, add the ground paprika, stir and immediately pour a little hot water over it. Put the pot back on the stove, add salt, cumin and simmer at a moderate temperature under a lid until almost tender.

To the almost soft meat add peeled and diced potatoes and sliced peppers. After simmering for a while, stir in the quartered tomatoes and finish the stew.

Add flour mixed with water, bring to the boil, then season with marjoram and garlic. Serve with fresh bread or bread rolls.
