Food Safety: Indoor Temperature for Burgers
Tips and Variations
You can also make these burgers with peanuts or chicken thighs, but keep in mind that the safe minimum indoor temperature for poultry is 165F. Season the burgers with a side of taco seasoning or a Cajun or Creole blend and reduce the salt by about half. Instead of American cheese, use pepper jack or mozzarella cheese.
