Jáhelník z Brněnsko

Regional recipe for sweet jáhelník prepared in Moravia.

Ingredients:

For the millet porridge: 350 g of millet 1 l milk boiling water pinch of salt Other ingredients: 250 g of dried or fresh plums 40 g butter 4 tbsp sugar 3 pcs of egg 1/2 pcs citron

Procedure:

1. Pour boiling water over millet several times, then drain
2. Leave in a colander to drain thoroughly, then pour in boiling milk with a pinch of salt and cook into a thick porridge
3. Stir the sugar, lemon juice and zest and egg yolks into the cool porridge
4. Add the stiff egg white snow and spread the porridge on a greased baking tray

Stir in the prunes (soak the prunes beforehand), drizzle with the fat and leave in a preheated oven for half an hour.
