Indian lentil stew with coconut

ingredients

2 tbsp oil 200 g lentils 250 g carrots 1 pk onion 15 g ginger 50 g coconut 2 cloves garlic 1 pk chili pepper 1 dl water 1/2 KL Roman cumin 1/2 KL garam masala 3 pk cloves 1/2 KL turmeric pk salt

step

1. Soak the lentils in water for at least 12 hours. Fry the crushed Roman cumin seeds and cloves in oil (until the spices start to smell pungent). 2. Then add the chopped onions and carrots. 3. Sprinkle with turmeric and masala and add the soaked and drained lentils. 4. Add the chopped ginger and mix together with the coconut. 5. Pour water (1-2 dl) and chop the chilli to taste. 6. Season with salt and serve.
