Composition of the industrial Big Mac sauce

If we go to the McDonald’s website and search a little we find that the industrial version of the famous Big Mac sauce is composed of the following ingredients: soybean oil, relish (pickles, sugar, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, distilled vinegar, salt, corn syrup, xanthan gum, calcium chloride, spices), water, egg yolk, distilled vinegar, spices, onion powder, salt, propylene glycol alginate, garlic powder, vegetable protein (hydrolyzed corn, wheat and soybeans), sugar, caramel coloring, turmeric, paprika, soy lecithin.

The serving of Big Mac sauce included in the Big Mac burger contains a total of 90 kcal.

How to make homemade Big Mac sauce

We have several options to prepare the homemade version of this famous sauce, as we can make it completely by hand or save some steps if we use some parts that we have on hand already prepared. For example, the most laborious would be to prepare the relish, which is a sweet and sour pickle sauce, but we can substitute it with Develey’s jalapeƱo sauce sold in Mercadona. The same goes for the mayonnaise, which we can make a homemade mayonnaise or use the commercial mayonnaise that you like if you are repulsed to make it at home because of the raw egg.

Ingredients

For the mustard vinaigrette

. White vinegar, 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil, 6 tablespoons Grated garlic, 1/4 clove Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon Salt, to taste Pepper, to taste

For the vinaigrette

.For the Big Mac sauce

Mayonnaise, 1/2 cup (120 ml) Relish, 4 teaspoons White vinegar, 1 tablespoon Salt Mustard vinaigrette, 2 tablespoons Finely chopped white onion, 1 tablespoon Sugar, 1 tablespoon

Step 1

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until you have a homogeneous mixture.

Step 2

To use it, lightly toast each of the three layers of bread that the hamburger has and spread them with the sauce.

Step 3

The remaining sauce is stored in a clean jar or cup that closes tightly and kept in the refrigerator for a maximum of three or four days.
