1 kg sauerkraut 1/2 kg pork (shoulder, curried) 4 pcs homemade sausage pcs cumin whole, black pepper whole, bay leaf, red pepper ground pcs salt 4 cloves garlic 1 pcs onion 4 tbsp oil

The chapstick on the Christmas table at our house must never be missing. It is the same on New Year’s Eve. However, we add pork to the New Year’s Eve one in addition to sausage.

Fry the onion and garlic in oil, add the diced meat and fry briefly to make it brown.

Pour water into the pot, add the meat with the broth and the sauerkraut. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until the meat is three-quarters cooked.

Finally, add the sausage and simmer until soft. Serve with bread or potatoes cooked in the skin. Enjoy!
