Homemade hamburger from wine sausage

A somewhat unusual adaptation of the wine sausage, for lovers of various burgers. Recipe for a burger made of wine sausage will get you. You will enjoy the wine sausage prepared in this way and you will make it not only at Christmas or New Year’s Eve, but all year round.

Ingredients:

800 g of wine sausage 4 pcs sage leaves 2 pcs

td>garlic scapes 1 pk eggplant grated peel of 1 lemon ground black pepper burger buns oil for rubbing butter Fresh spinach leaves to serve For caramelized onions: 3-4 pcs of onions 50-100 ml white wine 3 tbsp vegetable oil 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar 2 tbsp sugar salt

Procedure:

  • Prepare the caramelized onions; in a small pot, in well heated oil, fry the onions cut into thin slices until they turn brown, sprinkle them with sugar, stir occasionally, let them turn golden, then pour wine mixed with balsamic vinegar, caramelize under a lid, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 minutes<
  • For the burgers, squeeze the contents of the casing from the wine sausage, mix with herbs (crush the sage), crushed garlic cloves, egg and lemon zest, shape the mass into individual burgers
  • Brush the burgers with oil and grill them preferably in a contact grill for 5-6 minutes on both sides, or as long as needed

  • Bread the bottoms of the buns with butter, place spinach leaves on top, place a grilled burger on each, garnish with caramelized onions, cover the top of the bun, secure with garnishes and serve.
