Hasselbacka potatoes
Last Updated on
Hasselbacka potatoes are a worthy accompaniment to fine fish dishes, and of course a good steak. Despite the low weight, they are quite simple to make.
Ingredients for four
8 medium, firm potatoes 3 tbsp butter 1 tbsp breadcrumbs 1 dl grated cheese, eg.
Tip: Hasselbacka potatoes get a new dimension with garlic and/or herbs.
Peel the potatoes. Put them one by one in a bucket and slice crosswise, but only up to the edge of the bucket. This means that the potatoes will still stick to the bottom edge.
Place the potatoes in a baking tray and butter the bottom. Bake the potatoes in the hasselbacka at 180°C for half an hour. During cooking, brush the potatoes with butter.
Remove from the oven, bread the potatoes and put grated cheese on top.
Cover the potatoes in the oven for about 15 minutes and check that they are cooked through.
