Hamburger rolls
Let’s forget the hustle and bustle of trade. The taste for a homemade burger will soar. Make lots at once and put them in the freezer.
Ingredients for 12 scones
3 dl red milk 2 eggs (one for buttering) 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp sugar 1 tsp salt 9 dl wheat flour 2 tablespoons of butter 1 tsp salt 2 tablespoons of sugar 1 teaspoon of saltflour 2 teaspoons dry yeast 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (light)
Make the milk a little and add the yeast. Add baking powder, salt, sugar, butter and egg. Whisk to combine and start adding the flour. Knead into a relatively flat dough and place under a cloth to rise for 15 minutes.
Make a 2-3 cm thick disc of dough. Take a 10 cm diameter mould (or drinking glass) and press the dough into discs.
Open the tin and place the buttered paper on it. Roll the paper out well.
Place the discs on the paper, far apart (3×4 will fit on one tray). Sprinkle sesame seeds over the surface. Place another sheet of baking paper on the baking sheet and let rise for half an hour.
Bake the hamburgers in the lower shelf of a 175 oven for about 10 – 15 minutes. Keep the jääädä quite pale in colour.
