Grits with bacon ala omelette recipe
Ingredients
2 servings 250 g of English bacon 400 g of precooked grits 1 pinch of salt 1 pinch of ground pepper 1 tbsp sauce to taste 3 cloves of crushed garlic 1 pc. 1 Fry the finely chopped onion in a tablespoon of sauce until lightly browned. Add the diced bacon and fry briefly. Finally, add the garlic, which is not spared, the pre-cooked, drained groats, salt and pepper and leave to warm up, stirring occasionally.
2 Spread the mixture evenly in the pan and add the lightly salted beaten eggs. On a lower heat, allow the eggs to set. If a higher layer has formed which is harder to cook, cover the pan with a lid and slowly finish cooking.
TIP: Garlic sauce
3 Serve with braised or sauerkraut, vegetable salad, compote.
