Gratinated White Asparagus

Ingredients:

12 pcs of white asparagus spears 150 g of pounded English bacon 150 g smoked cheese 50 g garlic scapes lemon juice thyme butter pepper salt

Procedure:

1. Place the peeled raw asparagus in a buttered baking dish 2. Drizzle with lemon juice, top with slices of English bacon, sprinkle with chopped garlic scapes, season with salt, pepper and thyme
3. After about 15 minutes, when the asparagus is soft, place the slices of smoked cheese on top of the asparagus and let the cheese melt for another 3 minutes.

Recommendation:

Serve with boiled potatoes seasoned with butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
