Goose gizzards po staročesku

Husky gizzards are tasty offal, especially when baked in the oven they have a very delicate taste. Duck gizzards can be similarly prepared.

Ingredients:

1 kg of goose (duck) gizzards 500 g onions 1 drumstick garlic 4 pcs of allspice

/td> 4 pcs of whole peppercorns 2 pcs bean leaves mayonnaise lard water cumin salt

Procedure:

  • Clean the gizzards, cut the whole into 2 parts.
  • Make cross cuts on the bowed fleshy part of the stomach, a grid will be formed.
  • Pour boiling water over the cut stomachs 2 times, they will open in hot water.
  • Grease a baking tray with lard, stack the stomachs cut side up, sprinkle with onion strips, garlic slices. Add bay leaf, allspice, whole pepper, whole cumin, marjoram, salt, pour water.
  • Place in preheated oven, bake at 200 °C for about 90 minutes, occasionally pour the juice over the acorns.
  • Recommendation:

    Baked acorns taste great with braised sauerkraut and hairy dumplings. Similarly, duck gizzards can be baked, but they are not halved and the baking time is shorter.
