God’s Grace II

Fried Easter pastries according to our grandmothers’ recipe.

Ingredients:

350 g smooth flour 5 tbsp of cream or milk 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar 2 tablespoons white wine 1 tbsp butter 2 pcs yolks pinch of salt vanilla sugar lemon zest fat for frying

Procedure:

1. Mix the flour with the sugar, add a pinch of salt, chopped, slightly loosened butter, egg yolks, cream, wine and grated lemon peel, knead a smooth dough, a little thinner than noodle dough, work well until you start to get blisters on the sides
2. Transfer the dough to a floured rolling pin and roll it out into a sheet about 3 mm high, then use a rolling pin to cut out small triangles
3. Cut each triangle in the middle twice, place in a high layer of hot fat and fry until golden brown
4. Put the grace of God on paper towels to drain thoroughly, sprinkle them on a plate with vanilla sugar and you are done.
