Beautifully decorated gingerbread cookies…
1.
Heat butter, add honey and sugar, mix until smooth. Add the eggs, beat again and finally the flour with soda and spices. Make a stiffer dough and refrigerate for at least a day.
2.
Then on a floured board cut out different shapes. Bake at 180 degrees for about 8 minutes (keep an eye on them) and let the baked gingerbread cookies cool on the baking sheet so they don’t curl up, preferably by the next day.
3.
Children or loved ones can also be involved in decorating. Use the same moulds we used for the dough to cut out shapes from the coating. Brush the gingerbread with a damp brush and smooth the cut-out shape onto the surface of the matching gingerbread. Then it’s up to your imagination whether you glue on additional layers or finish your creation with edible markers, edible paint, airbrush paint or alcohol soluble powder paint. Enjoy!
