450 g honey 250 g powdered sugar 100 g butter 2 pk egg 1 pinch salt 1,5 tsp gingerbread spice 1 kg plain flour 1 pk baking powder

1 pk egg white 15 dkg icing sugar 1 tsp lemon juice

Heat the honey,sugar and butter, stirring constantly until everything has melted into a smooth paste. Remove from the stove and stir until it has cooled a little. Beat the eggs with the salt, add the spices, sifted flour with baking powder and work together with the honey to form a dough.

On a floured board, roll it out to about 1 cm. Cut out different patterns with a mould. Preheat the oven to 200 °C and place on a greased baking tray. Bake them for 15 minutes.

After baking and cooling, decorate. Sift the icing sugar 2 times, add 1 egg white and lemon juice. Beat for about 10-15 min by hand. Progressively add sugar. Amount depends on the size of the egg white. You can find the correct thickness by dropping a dot with a toothpick and when it holds its shape, it is well blended.
