How to make garlic shrimp in the microwave

Ingredients

. Large shrimp or prawns, 12 Garlic, 3 cloves Dried chili pepper, 1 Extra virgin olive oil, 1 tablespoon Salt, to taste Fresh chopped parsley

Step 1

Peel the shrimp and with the help of a puntilla make a cut in the upper part to remove the intestine. Reserve the shrimp on one side and the heads and shells on the other.

Step 2

Put the heads and shells in a microwave-safe container and cook for 1 minute at 700 W.

Step 3

Collect all the juice they have released. We put the heads on the strainer and crush them to get all the juice, which if possible we will strain again with a finer mesh so that no residue remains. Mix with the reserved broth.

Step 4

We can use the same container, without washing, to preserve all the flavor. Cover the base with olive oil and add the sliced garlic cloves, the cayenne and the shrimp bodies. Pour over the juice obtained from the heads and season to taste.

Step 5

Lid the container with a lid or cling film and cook at 800 W for 1 minute and a half. The time will depend on the size of the shrimp.

Step 6

Let them rest for a couple of minutes in the microwave and check if they are done. If they are not done, we will cook them for half a minute at a time so that they are not overdone.

Step 7

When the shrimp are cooked, remove the container from the microwave and, being careful not to burn ourselves, gently shake the container with circular movements to bind the sauce, add chopped parsley on top and serve the garlic shrimp immediately, piping hot.
