Frikadely with fried onions

Recipe from New York for meatballs (meatballs) served with fried onions, garnished with parsley.
Ingredients:
Procedure:
1. Peel the onions and finely chop one, grate the croissant
2. Drain the capers and cucumbers thoroughly, chop the cucumbers finely, chop the capers
3. Mix the minced meat with the chopped onion, breadcrumbs, capers, cucumber cubes and egg, season the mixture with salt, pepper and mustard
4. Form about 8 small meatballs from the prepared meat mixture and fry them in well heated oil on all sides for 5 to 6 minutes, then remove them and keep warm
5. Cut the other onion into thin rounds and fry in oil until golden brown
6. Serve the meatballs garnished with parsley and onion rounds.
Recommendation:
As a side dish, serve, for example, spring vegetable salad and fresh bread.
