Fried chicken Sugar oil garlic water recipe

Have you ever had fried chicken that’s utterly coated in a crispy, crackly coating? And then, when you bite in, the chicken is juicy, moist, and golden brown on the inside? Yeah, it’s pretty much the best thing ever.
This recipe is my go-to when I’m craving fried chicken. It’s easy to make and only requires a few ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry. Plus, it comes out perfectly every. single. time.
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
Instructions:
Cut the chicken into 8 pieces (breasts, legs, wings). You can also buy a whole chicken that’s already cut up.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and black pepper.
Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture until it’s well coated and set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together the sugar, oil, and water.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the sugar mixture. Once it begins to simmer, add the chicken to the skillet.
Cook for about 10 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is crisp and golden brown.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
This recipe is perfect for a weeknight meal or feeding a crowd. Serve it with some >homemade ranch dip , >homemade honey mustard , or your favorite BBQ sauce. Enjoy!
