Fazolačka

On the pan gradually fried onions, bacon, then cubes of smoked meat, carrot slices, parsley and garlic slices, all sprinkled with flour, poured with water or broth, boiled with cubes of raw potatoes, finally added to the soup and beans.

Ingredients:

200 g of smoked meat 250 g medium red beans (dry weight) 100 g smoked bacon 2 pcs potatoes 2 pcs garlic strips 2 pcs carrots 1 pcs parsley 1 pc onion 2 tbsp of plain flour 2 l of water or broth butter pepper salt dried or fresh parsley sprigs

Procedure:

1. Fry the finely chopped onion in melted butter until golden brown, add the diced bacon, sauté and render it, continue with the diced smoked meat and brown everything together nicely
2. Add the sliced carrots and parsley, roast for a while and as the last comes the sliced garlic to the base, but roast it only for a while, so that it does not burn
3. Sprinkle everything with flour, roast and pour water or broth (about 2 l ) salt and pepper
4. Add the diced potatoes and cook until soft
5. Before finishing add the pre-cooked beans, season to taste, add parsley.

Recommendation:

I keep my beans (and other legumes) pre-cooked in boxes in the freezer, but you can use canned.
