Eggs in a casserole

A playful and unpretentious breakfast that your kids will also love? Definitely our eggs in a bun filled with cheese, bacon, eggs, herbs and cream. Simple ingredients that, if they’re good quality, can work wonders. Because quality is uncompromisingly reflected in taste. If you have children, involve them in the preparation. You’ll see how much fun they’ll have squashing the buns, cracking eggs into them and then filling them with the sliced goodness with their cute little hands. And don’t worry, you’ll enjoy this recipe without the kids.

Ingredients:

Number of servings: 4 4 pcs housky 4 pcs eggs 100 g grated extra hard cheese (Gran Moravia) 100 g good quality bacon 1 handful of fresh smooth parsley 1 handful of fresh chives 2 tbsp whipping cream 33% freshly ground pepper butter salt

Procedure:

  • Preheat oven to 170 degrees.
  • Cut off the tops of the buns and hollow out the bottoms.
  • Place the cheese in each bun, crack a whole egg and brush with cream.
  • Place the prepared buns with the chopped bacon, season with salt and pepper and bake.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes and then for another 5 minutes with the tops covered.
    Serve with chopped fresh herbs.
  • Recommendation:

Not sure if you haven’t had your eggs in the fridge for too long? A simple experiment will tell you the age of the egg. Drop it into a pot of water. When it sinks to the bottom, it’s fresh. But if it floats, you’d better not eat it.
