Easy tiramisu recipe for those who have never made tiramisu before. recipe
Total: 5 min Diners: 4
Neither we invented it in Spain nor is it a Christmas dessert, in fact, this tiramisu recipe that I propose today is not even the most orthodox, because to make the preparation easier we will dispense with the use of raw egg which is something that, although it does not pose a difficulty itself, if it requires to put some more attention when making this dessert.
Preparing an authentic Italian tiramisu has no difficulty, except to read the recipe correctly and follow the steps to the letter, even so, you can also prepare this version of easy tiramisu without egg in five minutes, but equally delicious, that the most novice confectioners will allow them to cook it with much more relaxation.
How to prepare the easy tiramisu recipe for those who have never made tiramisu
Ingredients
. Mascarpone cheese, 250 g Hard soletilla biscuits, 9 pieces Agave syrup, 1 large spoonful (or sweetener of your choice) Espresso, 1 cup Unsweetened pure cocoa powder, quantity needed Amaretto liqueur, optional and only if there are no children
A good trick for this easy tiramisu without eggs in five minutes is to serve it in individual cups, so we do not have to fight for a nice cut at the time of plating and we can take it even freshly made. Take note of this if you do not have too much time to wait for it to set in the fridge.
As for the sugar, for many years I have been preparing tiramisu with agave syrup which being a very powerful sweetener we can use much less quantity and those calories we save. But you can use the sweetener you want and go testing the cream until you have the point of sweetness that you like or that you know that you like in your environment.
Step 1
In a bowl mix the mascarpone cheese with the agave syrup. In another bowl or cup we have at hand the coffee, preferably made with an espresso machine, mixed with the amaretto if we have decided to add a touch of liqueur or coffee alone if our tiramisu is teetotal.
Step 2
Trocce the sponge cakes a little, soak half of them in the coffee and spread them covering the bottom of the dish or the small glasses in which we will serve our tiramisu.
Step 3
Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the coffee-soaked sponge cakes and sprinkle with the unsweetened cocoa powder.
Step 4
Repeat the previous two steps, soaking the rest of the soletillas in the coffee, spreading them over the previous layers, on top, spread the rest of the mascarpone cream and finish by sprinkling with unsweetened cocoa powder.
Step 5
We cover with plastic wrap and store our tiramisu in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Some ingredients that can be substituted
(I) If you can’t find mascarpone cheese you can mix 250 g of heavy cream -the kind used for whipping- with a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice and let it stand until the cream curdles. You can also use a neutral-flavored cream cheese, an option I recommend if you are lactose intolerant and cannot find lactose-free mascarpone. You can also substitute part of the mascarpone for some other ingredient such as soft nougat, cocoa cream, etc.
(II) The real tiramisu is made with crackers called savoiardi, which are what we know here as soletilla biscuits, but the ones that are hard and covered with sugar.
(III) Or three tablespoons of sugar or sweetener or sweetener of your choice.
(IV) If you’ve used the right cookies you don’t need to put sugar in the coffee. If you want to make a version for children, use a decaffeinated coffee or a cup of soluble cereal dissolved in warm water or milk.
(V) If you don’t have unsweetened cocoa powder, you can grate some dark chocolate on top. You can also change it for something else, such as ground cinnamon. It will be a very tasty dessert, although the memory of tiramisu will be more distant. What I do not recommend is that you use a product like Cola Cao, because they are a mixture of cocoa with more things, including sugar and you run the risk of getting an excessively sweet dessert.
Extra note: The amaretto is an almond liqueur that is also usually in the tiramisu, but in the absence of it, any similar liquor you have at home will give the alcoholic touch, such as hazelnut liqueur, chocolate liqueur, rum, whiskey cream, pomace or rum, caramel vodka… That yes, if it is for children, forget about all of them.
